French Press Coffee Roasters in Vancouver Island

Great little coffee shop. The staff is very friendly. The muffins are delicious and the coffee is amazing. My daughter and I enjoyed our Saturday morning coffee date. A place like this makes you happy to support local. We'll be back soon.

Where to start coffee or food? As name is French Press, coffee I guess. Simply best Flat White since I left Australia and NZ! Food is fantastic and great value. Our group of four had the granola, avocado toast, breakfast bowl and muffin plus scone. All fresh and delicious. A must visit if you're in Qualicum.

Got a latte to go. It was pretty bad. Tasted like burnt raisins. Bitter and watery. I think I've tested every latte around and Coyotes and Creekmore are the place to go if you're a traveler needing a good one. Atmosphere was nice though. The food looked good but I had already eaten.

I had the chai latte and zucchini walnut loaf. I have to say that the tea latte did not have much flavour to it at all. The zucchini loaf on the other hand was packed with flavour. It had a load of walnuts in it and a lovely sugar coffee crystal on top. My friend had a coffee and she said it was quite good and it looked lovely with a leaf drawn in the foam.

Amazing espresso and the muffins were warm and absolutely delicious. They’ve won awards for their espresso. I would suggest the Cortado. It was amazing!

Great little spot for coffee. Artisanal espresso drinks (they use/sell their own beans, which are no doubt roasted-for, but are still great) and homemade bakery style treats. Looked like they do sandwiches, soups and light breakfast/lunch specials -- never ordered one, but also look delicious. Not much seating (like 10-15 spots max) so be prepared if you come during busy hours.

Our new favorite coffee place 💕 Husband and I tried both the cortada and chai tea latte. This coffee shop has won coffee contests and enjoy educating others about coffee with free events they host in shop. The coffee is exquisitely smooth as was the latte. The atmosphere is cozy and snug. The baristas are knowledgeable and go above and beyond to bring you good service and make you feel welcome. Food is affordable and tasty.

This place has one of the best mochas I've ever had, they use perfectly roasted beans and excellent dark chocolate to make a wonderful tasty fancy coffee!

Amazing coffee! This is our new daily coffee shop. Boutique atmosphere and very friendly staff. Great food from what I’ve heard but almost zero vegan options.

Great little Cafe. Their granola is exceptional and caringly made to order. Sandwiches hit the spot and their coffee is top notch and bright without any bitterness from overbrew.

Sat me right away despite edgy staff (covid makes us all edgy). Had good coffee and a passable breakfast sandwich while I worked a little.

The coffee is good, and more, they have healthy muffins. Yum!

This was a fabulous little bistro with a nice breakfast and sandwich menu. It was eclectic and the meal prices balanced out the slightly pricy coffee variations.

I would give French Press more than 5 stars if that were possible! When I mention to my family or close friends that I will meet them for lunch or coffee, they never ask me "Where?" as this is my go-to cafe. Wonderful soups, salads and award winning coffee. Plus, the staff are personable and make you feel like family. You will want to check it out.

Very cute small coffee roaster. They have a good selection for food. The owner was a very nice guy. The latter was amazing. Great service and fast.

A cute little coffee shop (a bit squishy so be forewarned) with friendly, hardworking staff. Street parking or a parking lot nearby. I'd give them 5⭐s except for a few issues with the menu. I ordered the Sunrise breakfast which is listed as an egg, cheese and ham on toast. I was surprised to get a sandwich instead. It's not a big problem but wording makes a difference. My wife got the grilled cheese sandwich and got a cheese sandwich...as the cheese wasn't at all melted. We were both hungry so we ate them. We will be back for sure... Great service, friendly sweet staff and the food was tasty. We just hope to see better descriptions.

I had a porter chocolate cake and it was outstanding. I also had a cappuccino and it was very good. It is a very small location but you can eat outside or have a coffee. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be there again the next time I'm in Qualicum.

Probably one of the best, if not THE best coffee shop my wife and I have been to!

I was thrilled that they had a gluten free muffin..but nice brocolli or quinoa salad available..for others there were large sandwiches. Service was friendly. I would visit again.

So so soooo delicious roasted veggie sandwich. Salad too. Reasonable prices. Must come here again. You too! And they are open Saturdays now, I was just told.

A bit pricey I thought when I was here last week. The quality is decent however and with He Brews gone now, there isn't a lot of options left besides a step above in Qualicum foods

Cozy cafe with great all day breakfast! We woke up late on vacation and this was the only place we found with some breakfast options. Had the breakfast bowl and a cappuccino. Friendly staff and great food.
